Wire Wrapped Jasper Donut Pendant

Seems like everyone is in shopping mood this month. Christmas shopping mood that is! It feels like only yesterday we celebrated Christmas 2009, and now 2010 is nearing its end. Are you in shopping mood as well? What do you want for Christmas? A sling backpacks maybe? Is that a hint? *wink*
I guess this is the best time of the year to shop.
Everywhere I go, I see sales, promotions, giveaways, holiday offers, special offers, etc. etc.
Some are really very tempting but I'd go shopping early next month after payday :)
Before that, got to make more wire jewelry.
After all no moolah, no shopping!
K! Here is a recently completed piece of wire wrapped donut pendant.
Not sure about the type of stone but I believe its Jasper.

Love this stone as its cool and heavy to the touch. It is now with its new owner.
Hope she is happy and loving it.
You have a great day my dear readers.

They (Butterflies) Discover Nectar

I started this post yesterday but left before I can complete it.
Now, its almost 24 hours later - how time flies!
Continue on from yesterday.....
*******
Two butterflies and two flower pendants.
Perfect match!
Here's some facts about butterflies.
Butterflies only sip liquid food. These can be nectar from flowers, liquid from rotting fruits and.....(not so nice) also rotting animal flesh or animal fluids (yucky!).
Sipping is done using a tube-like proboscis.
This is their 'tongue' and it is long and flexible.
When not in use, this 'tongue' coils up into a spiral (mmm..love spiral).
These pendants were shipped out yesterday and I hope the new owner will love them.

Beautiful Wire Works and Inspirations

Do you know what is so great about wire jewelry?
:) Ok, one of them is that you make many friends (some may say including enemies!) from all over the world.
Of course with the great help from internet. Without it, there will be no friends, or maybe not as many :)
I befriended a very talented wire jewelry artist from Italy recently. So, in this post I would like to introduce you to Giorgia Iorio who owns the blog Fili d' Argento. Well, her blog is in Italian but that doesn't matter because by looking at her creations, the language barrier is not that important anymore.
There are apps to translate foreign languages to your language quite easily - try Google translate.

This is what Giorgia has to say about this art form - "I like precision, the wire must be perfect......"
Well, I'll let pictures of her creations do the talking and show you what she meant by this.
Aren't they all works of AWESOME perfectness :)? Check out her wire animals and cartoon characters....cute and inspiring.
These are just few of her works, get inspired at her blog - Fili d'Argento.
Thank you Giorgia for letting me share your work.

Another Flora Pendant

Actually, this wire wrapped flora pendant was completed last weekend. However, I was busy the whole week that I didn't get around to posting it till almost another weekend again!
Stones are combination of Tourmaline, Cherry Quartz, Rose Quartz (Focal) and Czech Beads (Leaves).
This one is my favorite so far although I have wire wrapped similar one back in June.
Hammering was kept to minimum as the 19ga wire is already hard enough.

Wire Wrapped Flora Pendant - 7 Petals

Its almost Friday, 5 days since my last post. Mmm.....wish I can post more frequently.
The between posts is getting wider and wider.
This picture been sitting on my desktop for the last 4 days and I kept getting distracted although I kept telling myself to post it - everyday.
Tomorrow I'd be away whole day and by weekend I'd be busy with family matter so I am posting it NOW :)

This wire wrapped flower pendant looks familiar? Yeah, here's my first one. Only, this time around there are 7 petals instead of 5.
Another one similar to this design is the next project.
Hope to finish it this weekend.

New Wire Wrap Adjustable Ring, TAW Ring and Steel Rose

3 rings to share today - Twice Around the World (TAW) Wire Wrap Ring (Turquoise), Wire Wrap Rose Ring (all wire) and an Adjustable Ring, with my favourite gemstone, tourmaline.
I remember taking pictures of these 3 rings last week but I must have lost or misplaced them while transferring files from the old laptop. Can't find them last night so I retook these pictures this morning.
Twice Around the World (TAW) Wire Wrap Ring (Turquoise) and Wire Wrapped Rings Collection

Planning to refine the technique for the newvAdjustable Ring (bottom left pic above) and hopefully to come up with a new step by step wire jewelry eTutorial :) Been a while.
Notice any difference to the Rose Ring (bottom right pic above)? :)

Close up of the TAW Ring. This I made with 22ga wire as it is easier to work with. If you have my tutorial for this TAW Ring, you will know why :) Its quite a handfull to hold 6 wires on one end and another 6 on the other end and at the same time shaping the ring shank and maintaining the wires at their position.
Japanese Bead Adjustable Ring
This one is another Japanese Bead Adjustable Ring completed earlier. A hit because it is easy to put on and eye-catching.
