Religious Pendants - Wire Wrap Cross

Not very productive the last few days but I managed to complete these two custom order wire wrap crosses.
I use 19ga wire for the frame of this swirly wire wrap cross while the swirls are 20ga wire. The focal is a piece of coin pearl. Don't you just love those swirls - inspired by Erin.
I have a tutorial for this cross at my Etsy shop here - Wire Wrap Cross Pendant

This second cross is inspired by Iza. This time around the stone is tourmaline and the size of the cross is a wee bit smaller, as per request. Don't try this out, or else you will get addicted to the weaving :)

Deadlines, Surfing, Ink, T-shirts and TAW Wire Wrap Bracelet

Seems that my deadlines are never ending. They keep coming one after another. Can be good and can be not so good. There are many things I want to do here that I have been postponing for a long time and it is October already!!! Just 3 more months left for 2010.
I hope I am not boring you with my ranting about this again. Can't help it especially when it is a big part of my life - Deadlines.
Here are some of the things that I have been able to complete and partly completed (pst! besides my official "Work" of course).

ArtFire Group Deal: At least during this busy time, I decided to take up Artfire Group Deal of $5.95/month. I think it is a very good deal and investment :) Hopefully! In the next few months (don't dare to say few days or weeks), I got to set sometime to promote this ArtFire Shop of mine and use some of the tools available.
If you have been sitting on the fence, you still have few hours to consider (hope it is not too late by the time you read this) - follow this link ArtFire $5.95/mth Group Deal is ending today.

Net surfing and reading: Yeah! I do allocate a bit of time for net surfing and read interesting articles/posts from sites that I subscribe to as well as random sites. Life will be very boring especially if it is only about Deadlines :)

Here is one for information and knowledge - very short one, so won't take a lot of your time (I prefer short and straight to point articles. I am sure you do to). I am not into beauty products kind of person but if you are, check out this post from Blisstree- Beauty salon treatments health effects.
Her is How ink is made from Apartmenttherapy - Do you know how ink is made? Interesting.

Talking about ink, this website has all kind of things under one roof. First, I discover funny t-shirts that leads me to Cafepress funny posters.  Now that I have discovered this website, I need more time to explore. Lots of interesting ideas and potential here. For the short time I spent there, I know the site is for both artists and shoppers. You can open your own shop (both free and paid), create then sell your own custom-design products. If you prefer to shop, like me :) check out what you can find at savings.com. That should help us save some.

Wire Jewelry: Still my favorite subject :) and can't end this post without showing recently completed pieces. Here are 2 Twice Around the World (TAW) Wire Wrap Bracelets. Completed last weekend actually, but only managed to work on the pictures this week.
The darker one is wire wrapped with tri-color tiger eyes while the reddish one with agate.

Both measures about 7 inches long.

The agate one hmmmm....I am still thinking what to do with it.

Wire Jewelry Friends Sharing Their Works - Wire Wrap Roses

This post started this morning but only got to be completed tonight.Life been crazy busy since last week but its almost Saturday...weekend :)
Not busy with wire jewelry, though I wish it was.
Where have all the time gone?
I am still way behind in so many things.
September is coming to an end and soon it will be Christmas!
Duh! Where have all the time gone???
Sorry I am repeating this question.

Enough of rambling.
Actually I would like to share the works of Pamela of Willow Walker Designs and Jennifer of Brain of Jen today. Pam makes fused glass, wire wrap and bead work. In her Etsy Profile, Pam says - I have a romantic, dreamy side that loves flights of fantasy, fairy tales, princesses and science fiction-fantasy. I think it shows in this pair of earrings that she made.
Thank you for sharing this lovely piece of wire work Pam.
Jen's Slave Bracelet

This one here is Jen's Slave Bracelet. Jen likes to mix and match to create something new out of them. Using this wire wrap roses as "bead" is something new, even for me. Lots of potential there.
Thank you for sharing and inspiring Jen.

Happy and productive weekend my dear readers!

Wire Wrapped Heart Brooch

Another wire wrapped Heart from me. This time around for a brooch. This is a commissioned piece and the overall design is from the Client herself.
She also indicated the approximate size for the brooch. That is the little square where the brooch is sitting in this picture below. Almost exact size.
However, I didn't managed to wire wrap the flower within the heart as designed. Almost there but not as symmetrical as in her sketch. I got carried away.....!

Instead of one stone at the center, it ended up with several as seen here. Hmmm....I hope she still likes it this way. Those reddish teardrop stones are agate. The rest are seed pearl and Swarovski Crystal.
Holding the wire wrapped Heart brooch with pearl, agate and swarovski crystals
The wire end for the pin is sharpened by filing and lots of hammering done to harden the heart frame and the pin to make it springy.

Wire Wrapped Cluster Ring

Back in October 2007, I made a similar wire wrapped cluster ring.
Wow! How time flies. I didn't make a lot of this ring though.
In fact, this is only my second one actually :)
All components except for the stones and beads are handcrafted.
Leave you all with this ring and have a great weekend.
Will be back soon.

ArtFire Group Deal - $5.95 Per Month

I don't have much luck/sales at ArtFire and have been a BASIC-PRO and back to BASIC seller since I joined in 2008. With the sales I made there, it is not sustainable to cover the monthly fee of $15.95. But yesterday, I decided to take up the ArtFire Group Deal of $5.95/month. This is the lowest rate so far.
The thing is, this offer need at least 20,000 member to get activated.
As of today, there are already 2,000 sign ups.
The details are available here - ARTFIRE GROUP DEAL TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND FAQ and here is an excerpt from it:
This promotional rate offer is made contingent on  a “group discount” model where the promotional rate is guaranteed  to be activated only after a total of  20,000  users also accept the offer within the offer window ( a date range TBD by Artfire.com).  In the event that the group discount minimum is not met, the promotional rate may still be activated at the sole discretion of ArtFire.com , however, activation of the promotional rate is guaranteed only after the minimum number of users accept the offer.  Once activated, the promotional rate of $5.95 becomes your permanent locked in rate as long as you maintain your subscription.
OK, I am very confident they will get 20,000 registration without much problem. If you have been considering ArtFire, this is the best time to become a PRO seller at ArtFire.
Here is the Group Deal page leading to the sign up page.
Otherwise, tell your friends about it. There is no hidden fees.
Oh..and I am not making anything out of this.
I just feel that this is a very good alternative venue to sell handcrafted items online.
As PRO members, there are various tools available to promote your shop.
I am salivating over them...hehehe...I want! I want! I want!...LOL...

Have a great and wonderful day.
I am going back to my wires and pliers.
