ArtFire Group Deal - $5.95 Per Month

I don't have much luck/sales at ArtFire and have been a BASIC-PRO and back to BASIC seller since I joined in 2008. With the sales I made there, it is not sustainable to cover the monthly fee of $15.95. But yesterday, I decided to take up the ArtFire Group Deal of $5.95/month. This is the lowest rate so far.
The thing is, this offer need at least 20,000 member to get activated.
As of today, there are already 2,000 sign ups.
The details are available here - ARTFIRE GROUP DEAL TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND FAQ and here is an excerpt from it:
This promotional rate offer is made contingent on  a “group discount” model where the promotional rate is guaranteed  to be activated only after a total of  20,000  users also accept the offer within the offer window ( a date range TBD by Artfire.com).  In the event that the group discount minimum is not met, the promotional rate may still be activated at the sole discretion of ArtFire.com , however, activation of the promotional rate is guaranteed only after the minimum number of users accept the offer.  Once activated, the promotional rate of $5.95 becomes your permanent locked in rate as long as you maintain your subscription.
OK, I am very confident they will get 20,000 registration without much problem. If you have been considering ArtFire, this is the best time to become a PRO seller at ArtFire.
Here is the Group Deal page leading to the sign up page.
Otherwise, tell your friends about it. There is no hidden fees.
Oh..and I am not making anything out of this.
I just feel that this is a very good alternative venue to sell handcrafted items online.
As PRO members, there are various tools available to promote your shop.
I am salivating over them...hehehe...I want! I want! I want!...LOL...

Herringbone Weaved Rings Revisited

It's been a while since I got into this Herringbone Weaved Craze.
In fact, when I first got hooked with wire wrapped jewelry, the Herringbone Weaved technique is one of the first that I learned....because....the tutorial is available for free online.
Free tut link at the bottom of this post.
They can be ugly if you are new to this weave...LOL.
Look at these two that I made 3 years ago..don't laugh!
But then I got hooked and made more of them.
So, the lesson from this...don't give up, you will end up making beautiful Herringbone Weaved Rings....hehehe...like me...
Here is for Sunday sharing.

Gaga Over Green

This one takes longer than expected.
Or am I procrastinating? :)
Tend to do the easier ones first and for the last few weeks I have been busy with works.
For this piece, I spent a lot of time choosing,
un-choosing, matching and un-matching the green themed stones.
This is the final result and I am not even sure if this is the best match.

The Last Air Bender

After William and Henry watched The Last Air Bender, and me surfing for pictures/images of the movie, it struck me that I can actually wire wrap something for each of them.
My mistake, I told them too soon.
From then on they kept reminding (pestering) me to make it like NOW!
I gave in and kept myself busy last two nights.
These are the results from.....The Last Wire Bender!..Opps! LOL.
How about that? Mmmm, don't really want to be he last though :)
William likes the Air Bender so this is his (left) while Henry wants the Fire Bender.

I can't get them to pose for pictures with the pendants.
They just want to hold them and show off to their friends.

Me? me want to make myself the Water Bender :)
Have a great weekend all and happy wrapping.

Back to Basic Collection - Swirly Wire Earrings

Rather slow this weekend.
Still working on one piece since yesterday when decided to divert to the Back to Basic Collection.
Here is sharing another piece for this collection - Swirly Wire Earrings.
Looking very well endowed...like pregnant and suddenly I realize how much it looks like my logo...LOL

Notice the uneven surface. Those are hammering marks.
I like to think they are added character :)
(Just an excuse to cover up my inability to hammer evenly)
I know, some people prefer totally smooth surface.

These are tiny 3mm garnet.
Added so the earrings don't look so boring :)

Somehow, I have problem taking pictures with dark/black background.
Pictures always turn out "unreal" or "off color".
Any idea why this is so?
Any suggestions on taking nice pictures on dark background?
