Before Wire Jewelry.....
These were the projects I was doing before I got myself hooked with wire wrapped jewelry more than 3 years ago.
These pillow case is an unfinished project. "Rediscovered" yesterday when I was clearing (more spring cleaning!) a wooden drawer to make way for my wire and beads :D.
.....hmmm! maybe I should do something about this. What a waste.
All the embroidery and needle point work....just beautiful.
This is another project with plastic straws. It was a very popular craft project in Kuching many many years back. Even FIL also joined in the fun. We have more in the downstairs glass drawer.
Don't look too closely as you will notice the dust collected over the years. This one goes into the dustbin!
Another plastic straws project.....pretty! pretty! roses.

Monstrance Bracelet with Egyptian Coils
Done! An Egyptian Coiled Monstrance Bracelet.
The focal and 'rays' consist of square and bicone Swarovski Crystals. Actually I was looking for a round flat crystal for focal but can't find any so settled with this square crystal.
The monstrance measures approximately 4cm x 3.5cm.
Last but not least, don't forget to check out my new blog on orchids - OrchidBliss.

New Pliers, Cutters, "Tea Ring" & Turquoise Bracelets
I am back, kind of! Was away for a very short period, then there was the on and off internet connection, then busy with work and started a new blog which have been put off for a while - http://OrchidBliss.blogspot.com. So for those of you who are Orchids enthusiast, check out our (me and hubby) blog on orchids - wild / species orchids.
Here are my new purchase - can't resist.
Flat nose pliers and a straight full flash side cutter.
Got myself a silver ring with my name attached to the top too. Known as "Tea Ring" as narrated by the maker. Some people call it Snake Ring. However mine don't look like snake as my name (MEI) is attached to the top. So what is the story with "Tea Ring"?
Simply, get your friends to reassemble this ring while you are having tea. If they can't do it, they pay for your drinks. That's it. I haven't tried it out yet. Soon....when I need some free drinks...:D
Anyone of you own or ever come across this type of ring? I first heard of this when I was at my parents place last 2 weeks and just gotta make one. The man who makes them happened to live close by so I didn't waste my time. Well, actually I have another intention, to find out if I can make one with wire...hehe...

Gorgeous Tulips from Portugal!
Ligia from Portugal said "I would SO LOVE a Tulip Tutorial!!!!
:-))".
Then she got her tutorial few days ago. Now she is kind enough to share with us her wire wrapped Tulips.
Here is what Ligia has to say about the tutorial:
It was very easy to follow your tutorial, and especially the thing I always find hardest, you make it very simple, because you tell us exactly all the wire measures. In some tutorials we almost have to guess, but here it was excellent, and I didn't waste any wire, which is very important.
Thank you Ligia for sharing these! I am happiest when someone successfully completed a project based on my tutorials.
