New Turquoise and Swarovski Crystal Bracelet
Made this bracelet today. These donuts turquoise beads (6mm) have been with me for a while. Decided to take them out to play today and the result is this 7.5in bracelet. Still thinking if I should list it in my Etsy Shop.
Playing with Wire Again
This colored wires were purchased from the mall recently. Not sure what they are made of as the label was in Japanese but they are very soft. Too soft! Played around with it and created wire names (can you read the names? :D) Got problem with the letter 'n' and 'r' in Henry but William is ok, yeah! ok only.
Then I played around with some basic shapes just for the fun of it and get the boys all excited with the wire fish.

Adjustable Wire Woven Jasper Ring
Feeling better now and finally finished this Adjustable Wire Woven Jasper Ring. This is in one of my new year resolution to do list i.e make more adjustable wire woven rings. But then of course, if time allows.
I love this ring because it suits anyone easily without having to worry about the ring size. It is adjustable over a range of 3-4 sizes and can be adjusted to fit any one of your fingers.

Experimenting with Chinese Knots
Experimented with two Chinese Knot tonight. Been a bit slow with my wires lately so this is a nice break. This first one is from Corra's tutorial for Zhu Earrings. Instead of 28ga, I tried it out with 26ga wire and of course its a bit tough because with this knotting, the wire is treated like a thread...Not very happy with the outcome but ok for a first try :) This is not a ring or earring. Just an experimental piece.
This is the snowflakes knot. This time around I use 25ga and needless to say, it is tougher but manageable. I think thicker wire like 23ga would look better.

Waited for 7 Years!
Finally it is flowering, after 7 long years. Dearest hubby and me bought this orchid (Borneo Paraphalaenopsis Labukensis) from Sabah and thought it will never flower in this kind of weather. The recent rainy season and cool days and nights must have done the trick. Hopefully the hot spell we are experiencing now will not stunt the flowering process.
This one is Bulbophyllum Longissimum from Thailand. The petals are about a foot long from top to bottom.
I haven't been making lot of wire jewelry lately but I purchased this book - The Braid Bible by Jacqui Carey. The best book purchase for year 2009. As claimed, the book contains over 200 braids to loop, knot, weave and twist. All the basic to the complicated as well as very familiar braids, knots and weave are in this book. Some of the questions that has been bothering me are answered by this book :) Will be trying them out with wire soon.

Rose! Rose! I Love You - Wire Wrapped Rose Earrings
The 17ga stainless steel wire is really tough. Notice how I was having tough time bending the wire ends? Ugly ya? I think I better stick with 20ga :)
Wire Wrapped Rose Ring Tutorial is available at my Etsy Shop.
Side view looks better...:)
Here is a simple pair of spiral earrings with 17ga stainless steel wire too. Handmade hooks with 20ga stainless steel wire.
