Here is what Linda has to say about her earrings made based on my recent tutorial - Wire Wrap Stud Earrings.
Hi Mei,
Your tutorial was very clear and concise! See?
The first picture is my first try - came out pretty good! The second, I got brave a little too fast and switched to silver....not as good - but I think the wire was heavier. It didn't want to bend for anything! Those two inspired me to go bigger and bolder although not necessarily better with the third pair.
Now I'll take my sore fingers off to do some housework!
This is one of my best selling earrings and I am sharing it with you hoping that you will be able to make lot of them for yourself, family and friends or for sale.

Take a break to post this new wire woven black onyx ring. I ran out of the oblong shaped black onyx as made previously (yeah! it's one of my most popular piece), therefore opted for this new faceted black onyx stone. This one is "fatter" looking but I still love it. More prominent and visible.
The best copper wire so far! Hubby brought this cable home yesterday. He is so supportive of my hobby! :) Wonderful color (for now)....Judging from the measurement I think they are size 15/16ga.
What can I make with this size of copper wire? hmmmmm......Hammer! Hammer! Hammer! That's what I can hear in my head since yesterday......well! let me dream about them first.
Can't resist this stainless steel block when hubby took me to the stainless steel shop two days ago. Just nice for hammering. So I got the shop assistant to cut a piece for me - about 1.5 inch thick (2.5 in diameter). Took him about 10 minutes to get it cut.
The shop sells everything stainless, copper and brass except for soft stainless steel wire *sigh*. They do have the hard ones though. But can't use them for jewelry, they are too hard and springy.
While walking around, I saw the square stainless steel flat bar measuring about 2.5 x 4 x 0.4 in. Hm! Also very good for hammering :). In the end I decided to have both of them for RM46.00. Expensive? Well for the love of jewelry making, its worth it.
Today was a busy day spent going here and there. First hubby and me went off to Serikin Market early in the morning for a bit of shopping. Yeah! the border town near Indonesia about an hour drive from Kuching. Bought some fruits, fish sounds, bananas and buah langsat (local fruit). While there, I took some pix, shown here are the limestone hill in Bau still covered in mist early this morning, some silver jewelry and items from an antique stall in Serikin Market, some kind of edible snails (never tried it before) and buah langsat at Kampung Duyoh roadside stalls.
Came back around noon and I managed to whip up a pearl stud earrings. Simple one which I have done previously.
Then in the evening, we drove off to the coastal part of Kuching, about 30 km out to the coast looking for fresh fish and prawns. It's hard to find fresh fish and prawn in the city as all the fresh ones goes to the restaurants. While waiting in the car with the boys, we kept ourselves busy watching some boys and a girl fishing at the riverbank. The two boys were so happy and wanted to join them. Henry was so happy to see the fishing boats...his first time seeing these boats.
Well that is how I spent the day.....more wire jewelry in the coming days...hopefully.
