Its been a about a week since I last posted. I have been busy - went for a trip last weekend and will be off again tomorrow for a meeting in KL. Maybe I will be back with lots of bullet holes :) For those who knows what kind of meeting I am attending, you will smile :D What to do? Part of my work.
I am missing my wires and gems terribly liao! Can't wait for weekend :)
Anyway, grandpa is not feeling well lately. Sometimes he seems to be hallucinating, dreamy (he sleeps whole day anyway), mumbling things like his friends (deceased) came to see him. Lots of them and and they are all very happy. He will be 95 very soon.

What's all the rush all about?
These of course! I should have done these earlier, bad time management :). Two nights of overtime till 2 am. Tomorrow someone is coming to pick them up and they should be on the way to Calgary - to my sis-in law and Rachel.
I made Rachel a snowflake pendant. My second snowflake pendants. Really, they are quite fun to make but still can't beat wire weaving.....hehehe.

My First Tucuman Braid Bracelet
People in the forum/s have been talking about this new Tucuman Braid Bracelet from Don and Louise Coulson of Kingfisher Designs. So, I stole some time this evening to try it out myself. I present you my first Tucuman Braid Bracelet. Yeah!
The tutorial is very easy to follow. I have no problem following it from the beginning till the end. The only "mistake" I made is to braid it too tight at the beginning of the braid, the clasp end. If you look at the pix below (bottom left of this first pix), the braid is thinner and tighter than the rest of the bracelet :) Ah! Will do better next time around.

Wire Wrapped Kissing Pipas and Clasp
This is suppose to look like this one but it turned out a bit bigger and wider. About 5 cm in width but the new owner don't mind at all :)
I used 6mm malachite for the center of the pipas as well as the clasp. 4mm corals surround the malachite. Oh! not forgetting the moonstones and pearls.
This piece is based on Corra's Pipa technique.

Wire Wrapped Snowflake Pendant
This snowflake pendant is a commissioned piece. This is a challenge in a way as I have never make snowflake before. Lucky a picture was attached for this custom order. Not sure of the origin of the picture but the result almost look identical.....ah well almost. How much time do I spend making this one? Whole morning! about 3 hours. It is always longer the first time :)
Materials used for this project are 27ga stainless steel wire, Swarovski crystals and Japanese Seed Beads.
