One thing about wire wrapping earrings is that I have to create two identical pieces all the time. My biggest worry is that I will not be able to create identical pair- in terms of shape, size and the wire wrapping itself. It has always been like that.
That is why I kind of shy away from earrings especially those complicated ones :)
This pair is such kind.
Phew! Both almost exactly the same size :)
Or maybe it doesn't matter?
How adorable! I love the happy colors of tourmaline, and you did a great job arranging them in a rainbow circle...
ReplyDeleteNever mind if the earrings aren't exactly identical - in fact, this can be a selling argument: The ears on a person will never be quite symmetrical, and if you put the shorter earring on the ear attached lower, it will help to conceal the irregularity, thus enhancing your customer's natural beauty! :-)

Thanks Jutta. Tourmaline is beautiful but very very expensive :(
ReplyDeleteI do agree, it can be a selling point. Will keep that in mind :)
that the unique about not the same at the other side..for me it doesn't matter:)..lovely design with lovely tourmaline

These are gorgeous Mei, I'm a huge fan of tourmaline & silver...
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started working with silver I spent a great deal of time trying to make the earrings exactly the same...then one day it dawned on me...these are hand crafted it really doesn't matter if both are exactly the same...as long as they look enough alike to be a pair that works for me!!! I don't ever want my silver work to look as though it was bought in a "regular" jewelry store...I find my customers like that aspect of my work...
So in answer to your question...NO...it doesn't matter!!! :0)
Cheers
I do agree with you Heather. We can never make exact copy of the other one. Guess its the perfectionist part of me...LOL
