These are drawings by my two little boys.
This top one is by William, 5+. Mummy looks like a duck or is it a chick? :) The black dots are navels according to him while I am holding the wires with my left hand. Wow! My wire working left some marks on him.....hmmmm! is that bad or good I wonder?
This one at the bottom is drawn by Henry, 2+. These are mommy, daddy, William, Henry, mama (grandma) and dada (grandpa). We all looks like potatoes! :D

Sparkly Necklace and Bracelet - Brown-themed
I wanted to keep these two pieces for myself as soon as I completed them. The color is sooooooo nice and so "me".....Although I am not a very sparkly person myself (personal preference), these two pieces are an exception....
But what to do, these are commissioned pieces. Out to the new owner.
Oh ya! I used gold filled wire and 6mm faceted donut swarovski crystals for these two pretties.

Made these two pieces this morning. The earrings is the same as this one, only bigger in size and I used pearls at the bottom.

Sterling Silver Wire Wrap Ring - My First
This is not my first ring but this is my first wire wrap ring with Sterling Silver wire and Sterling Silver metal beads.
Wire wrapping this ring with 20ga wire is almost the same as wrapping with Stainless Steel wire, in terms of hardness of the wire I must say.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this ring. The technique I used for this ring is contain in my Sparkly Crystal Ring Tutorial available at my etsy shop also in this blog.

My First Anklet - Tiger's Eyes
I have been making wire jewelry for more than two years now but this is my first anklet. Hmm! Looks like not many people wear anklets. This tiger's eyes anklet measures 12 in and is a made for order piece. Each of the 6mm tiger's eyes are flanked by 4mm (AB) Swarovski Crytals and wire wrapped with 24ga gold filled wire.

At Work Today
Here are some pictures taken on my trip to Bintulu this weekend. Am still here and will only be back to Kuching tomorrow evening.
Sarawak has LOTS of rivers. These pictures show tributaries of Batang Rajang (Rajang River), the longest river in Sarawak. Pix on the left shows Sibu Town, at the banks of Rajang River.
Testimonial
The best thing to hear after a day of work (yeah! I have to work this weekend) is a very positive comment from someone who purchased my Sparkly Ring Tutorial. Here's what she has to say. This really made my day.....:)
Dear Mei, I have been having so much fun making rings using your tutorial! Thank you so much for creating it. I have to say, I am so pleased with how professional the tutorial looks and how incredibly clear the directions and pictures are. I love that I ended up with great looking results from the first ring. Plus it has inspired me to be more creative with wire overall. My 13-year-old daughter and I have covered our fingers in sparkly rings! If you are planning on creating any different wire tutorials please let me know. Pearl & Garnet Ring
This is a simple pearl and garnet wire wrap ring made last weekend. This ring is special in a way as the sizes of the pearls are different, increasing in size as they approach the center, same with the garnet beads as can be seen in the second picture. I maybe listing this ring in my Etsy shop soon.

Iridescent of Abalone Shell
This piece of abalone shell is from New Zealand. Mom-in-law found it in her drawer and handed it over to me to play with. She said she has lots of them but can't locate them at the moment. Oh well, what a waste.
Here, the shell is wrapped simply with 22g stainless steel wire. Simple but very tight. At the back of the shell (or is it the front?), the wire is bend like a cross. Hmmm! a lot of crosses lately.

Woven Wave ByPass Ring - Onyx
I really enjoyed myself making this ring based on Louise's Tutorial on Woven ByPass Ring. I was a bit nervous when it comes to weaving as I failed miserably in the past especially when it involves lots of weaving. Look at this failed project - Failed Pendant
But then when I was weaving this ring, it was not as difficult as back then. I guess it must be the size of wire I used for weaving. I used 28g whereas for my previous project, I used 25g. Stainless steel wires of 20g formed the shank of this ring.
Very happy with the outcome and I really love it.
Happy with the outcome, I give it another try with copper wire and this time it is even easier to weave. The copper wire is "soooooooo" soft. How I wish stainless steel wires are as soft as that. :)

Kissing Pipas
My eldest boy, William loves to kiss. By this I mean he willingly kiss his parents (thats us) and grandparents without question. Henry, the younger one (2 and half) on the other hand is choosy when it comes to kissing. Being kiss or kissing his brother William is a definite NO! NO!. If William try to kiss him, he will run screaming and crying with his mouth covered. His reason being "Koko (big brother) got "nua" (saliva)". He doesn't mind our "nua" but he got problem with his Koko's "nua"....:D. If I kissed William first and then ask Henry to kiss me, Henry wouldn't want to because he said "Koko's nua is on my lips!" Wonder how this 2 years old is so particular about "nua" *shaking head*.
Enough about kissing and "nua", here is a Kissing Pipa bracelet accompanied by a Pipa Hook/Clasp I made today.
The oval shaped moonstone used here are from Szarka (thanks Szarka) and the four stones the pipas are kissing are tourmaline. The teardrop shaped stone on the left pipa is prehnite while the pink stones on the right hand pipa and the clasp are....hmmmmm , duh forgot what its called (brain not working). Will check it out later. Got it - Cherry Quartz (6mm)

Adjustable Garnet Ring
This ring was done last week but with my busy schedule at work and travelling, I forgot that I have not posted it here. This ring is meant to be adjustable, but once done, the adjustable is not so adjustable after all. It only budge a little bit when I try it on my bigger finger :).
Anyway, this is an idea I am planning to explore more when I have the time for more wire jewelry.
