Donut Jade Pendants
I made these two wire wrap donut jade pendants today and I am quite happy with the results.
The first one (green jade) is a commissioned piece and features 3 4mm pearls at the front and one at the back of the pendant, coral bead (red) and another 4mm green bead (not sure of the name).
The second one is now available at my Etsy Shop (go check now!), features a donut pendant measuring about 3.7cm from top to bottom while at its widest part, the donut measures 3cm. The flower a the top is created with spring in mind. Faceted tourmaline briolettes form the petals while pearls of various sizes adorned the center and back of the pendant.

Mei, these are beautiful!! I have never seen anything like it. This is the best designing using a donut gemstone that I have ever seen. Truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your wonderful words Maryann. A tutorial for this design will be coming...hopefully soon.
ReplyDeleteMei... I like the first one more! May be it's because I like green jade by nature. Both are very nicely composed, I never thought you can apply such technique to wire wrap donut pieces! :D
ReplyDeleteMei, these look great. I like how you found different looks for each...I usually get stuck on one pattern and can't get inspired for another. Great job!
ReplyDeleteCorra, I also didn't know it until I made the first one and the second one developed fm there.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheila. The second one developed from the first one. While doing the first one, I was thinking about spring and flower and remembered that I have some tourmaline that I can use and the rest is just putting them together. :)
ReplyDeleteHi you have beautiful items. In the ring contest I believe maybe about 25 rings . Would be nice to win one of your items. I am going to buy a tutorial from you as soon as I can thank you. beautifuldayahead@yahoo.com
