Native Beads of Sarawak - Old and New
Here are some of the native beads that I managed to dig out from my box. These were bought from the Kelabits in Miri when hubby was there few years back. Too "sayang" to use them!
These pictures below are similar beads I bought in Kuching recently. Not sure how authentic they are but nevertheless, I still like them. Here is an interesting article on Sarawak Beads if you have the time to read - A Tale of Beads. The first picture on top left looks like the Lukut (Rosette beads) mentioned in the article.
